Unlock the Occult Mysteries of Mysterium - Dive into Captivating Gameplay!

Updated: Oct 5

In Mysterium, gameplay begins with the selection of a ghost player, who secretly selects a suspect, location, and murder weapon. The other players, who act as mediums, then work together to interpret the illustrated cards that the ghost hands out in each round. The mediums must correctly guess their respective suspect, location, and murder weapon in order to advance through the stages and ultimately solve the mystery.

During each round, the ghost hands out one or more cards to each medium, which serve as clues to the identities of the suspect, location, and murder weapon. The mediums must then interpret these cards and make a guess as to their identities. The ghost may not directly communicate with the mediums, so it is up to the players to collaborate and work together to interpret the clues.

The mediums may indicate whether they believe a guess to be correct or not through the use of tokens. If a medium has placed a correct token, they have made a correct guess and can advance to the next stage. If a medium has placed an incorrect token, they must continue to guess until they have correctly identified their suspect, location, and murder weapon.

If all players have advanced past the third stage by round seven, the ghost gives a final clue as to which medium holds the true identity of the ghost's murderer. Depending on how quickly players advanced through the stages and how many correct tokens they have placed, they may see one, two, or three cards from the ghost. Players may again collaborate on interpretation of the cards, but their final vote must be secret.

If the majority of players guess correctly, the players win and the ghost is set free to enjoy the afterlife. However, if the majority of players do not guess correctly, the ghost remains trapped and the players lose the game.

Overall, Mysterium is a unique and engaging board game that challenges players to work together and interpret illustrated clues in order to solve a mystery. It requires collaboration, communication, and strategic thinking in order to win.
